How to run a company check

Running a check takes under a minute. Here is the full path from search to report.

Updated 2026-06

  1. 1

    Open the check page

Go to the Run a check page from the top menu.

  2. 2

    Search the company

Start typing the company name. Pick the right legal entity from the list as it appears, using the NZBN to be sure you have the correct one.

  3. 3

    Run the check

Select the company and run the check. Checkbase pulls the public record together into a single report.

  4. 4

    Read the report

Open the report to see the company identity, status and other public signals in one place.

  5. 5

    Save or monitor

Keep the report for your records, or add the company to monitoring so you hear about future changes.

Good to know

  • Searching by the legal name or NZBN gives the most reliable match.
  • Each check uses one credit from your balance.
